BCHS Welcomes Leah Monteilh, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C to Expand Services on the Northshore

NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 24 - Baptist Community Health Services (BCHS) is excited to announce the addition of Leah Monteilh, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, to our growing BCHS Northshore team. Leah will be seeing primary care and behavioral health patients full-time at our Mandeville clinic located at 1445 W Causeway Approach.Leah_M_white_coat_copy-0001.jpg

Leah is a a dual-certified Family Medicine and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, as well as trauma-informed, patient-centered treatment. Her expertise aligns seamlessly with BCHS’ mission to increase access to compassionate, comprehensive health services.

Leah holds a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Loyola University New Orleans, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Nicholls State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from William Carey University. Her clinical experience spans Community Health Centers, clinics, and hospitals.

Throughout her career, Leah has served in a variety of leadership and care coordination roles. She brings a deep understanding of interdisciplinary care models and has consistently worked to improve health outcomes through a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens.

Fluent in Spanish, Leah is also skilled in Medication-Assisted Treatment and will strengthen BCHS in improving access to mental health services for populations best served in languages other than English.
