What We Do
Baptist Community Health Services is a non-profit, federally-qualified multi-site community health center. Founded in 2014 in the culturally-rich Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, the work of BCHS is focused on delivering high quality, affordable primary medical and behavioral healthcare to those who need it, regardless of income or insurance status.
Adult Medicine
As a medical home, we provide comprehensive primary care including, but not limited to:

Pediatric Care
With comprehensive pediatric services, BCHS kids are sure to soar! We offer:
Behavioral Health
The BCHS Behavioral Health team sees patients ages 6 and older. Pediatric Psychiatry for younger children is available on a case-by-case basis.
We provide BH services for the following:
HIV, Hep C, and other STD/STI Services
BCHS now offers holistic and preventative care for patients living with or at increased risk for exposure to HIV including PrEP (preventative care), Rapid testing/screening, conventional lab testing, evaluation, online/self-scheduling, linkage to specialty care, counseling, and more!
BCHS is also committed to helping eliminate other STD/STIs, including Hepatitis C, by aiming to reduce stigma and expanding access to testing and care.
Mobile Care
Our team is committed to eliminating barriers to care by taking our services to the doorstep of those who need them most.
Through our two mobile care units, BCHS offers:
- Pediatric Dentistry (ages 18 & under)
- Behavioral Health Services (Individual & Group Counseling)
- Mobile Medical Response
Spiritual Health
We believe spiritual care is essential to the whole person for healing and achieving health goals. We are able to offer prayer, encouragement, faith-based counseling and/or guidance, and connection to local churches/pastoral care.
